About Eremhi
At Eremhi, we stand for the revival and protection of the Coptic identity, the empowerment of young Copts, and the defence of persecuted Christians across the Middle East. We believe that the Coptic people, as Egypt’s indigenous Christian population, have a right to preserve their unique language, culture, and faith without compromise or erasure.
We centre youth voices, foster interfaith understanding, and prepare a new generation of Coptic leaders rooted in their indigenous identity and committed to dignity, justice, and peace. Our work is rooted in Christian values driven by a strategic vision to create long-term security and peace in the region.
Eremhi's Mission
Reviving the Coptic Identity and Language
We are committed to reversing centuries of Arabisation and cultural erasure by reviving the Coptic language as a living, spoken tongue. For us, language is not just words – it is the vessel of our people’s memory, spirituality, and dignity. Through accessible online classes, resources, and immersion programmes, we are building a new generation of Copts fluent in their ancestral language and confident in their identity.
Understanding Geopolitics
At Eremhi, we recognise that without a clear understanding of Middle Eastern geopolitics, Coptic youth remain vulnerable to misinformation, extremist narratives, and political manipulation. Eremhi aims to provide future leaders with in-depth, critical knowledge of regional politics, religious dynamics, and strategic realities that shape their community’s present and future. We cover the history and impact of Arab imperialism and nationalism, the complexities of regional security threats, extremist groups, the role of major global powers, and the political position of MENA minorities.
Youth Advocacy
Our advocacy spans gender equality, indigenous rights, climate justice, freedom of religion or belief, peacebuilding, and interfaith harmony. We train and support youth to raise their voices confidently on global stages, ensuring that Coptic perspectives are represented in international forums and policy discussions.
