What is Eremhi?
Eremhi is a Coptic Youth Organisation to empower, educate, and encourage young Coptic leaders. We are a Christian NGO and offer a Politics Policy Fellowship, opportunities for Coptic representation at international conferences and events, and work to revive Coptic culture - through the language and seminar days.
What if I'm not a Copt?
Eremhi primarily focuses on Copts, however, we appreciate and encourage your interest- please send us an email and we can discuss further. In competitive applications, Copts are prioritised, followed by other Christians and persecuted minority groups from the Middle East and North Africa.
Do I Need to Belong to a Specific Church?
No- all Coptic youth are welcome. We are non-denominational so welcome those from the Coptic Orthodox Church, Coptic Evangelical Church, Coptic Catholics, or any other Copts who attend other churches.
Do I Need to be Fluent In Arabic?
Again we have different programs and activities which have different requirements. Some may need no Arabic, some may need a capacity to listen and some may need you to be able to speak Arabic. It depends so please don't be discouraged and check out specific requirements. The key requirement is enthusiasm, so if you have zero language ability please don't hesitate to reach out and we can see what we can do.
Are there any Eligibility Requirements?
We have different programs for different groups so we strongly recommend you check out each of the specific program pages. Some such as the policy fellowship are only open for 18-25, and others such as our Coptic Language Initiative are open to everyone for any age.
Similarly, some may need more flexibility of your time and some may have a language requirement or nationality requirement.
What if I want to Work or Intern at Eremhi?
We appreciate your interest and enthusiasm. Currently there are no renumerated or paid jobs available - but please follow us on social media and subscribe to the Newsletter to hear if this changes.
Can I Blog with Eremhi?
